About Us  

ElderGuard was founded by Charlene Youknut and Tara Welty. They each have extensive experience in the psychology, sociology, and health science of aging.

Ms. Youknut has a Master of Science degree in Counseling and is credentialed as an Advanced Professional Geriatric Care Manager.

Ms. Welty has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work and is also credentialed as a Professional Care Manager.

Professionally, they bring together a wide variety of corporate, counseling, advocacy, and community service skills that provide a strong foundation for this multidisciplinary field.

Ms. Youknut and Ms. Welty know first hand what it means to manage caregiving challenges—and want to be "your guiding resource for elder care."
